Rain, rain go away...

July 3rd, 2012 - With the long weekend over and Daddy back to work, it's now time for the kids and I to busy ourselves with all that summer has to offer. Unfortunately, the weather chose not to agree with us today, and it's another gloomy, wet day in Vancouver. So we started out the day with a bit of learning, in my attempts to be sure Coralie doesn't forget all she learned throughout her first year of school.

With the weather not looking up any time soon, it was time to just put on a brave face and get outdoors. The bikeways were a bit quiet due to the rain, so it was the perfect chance to get Etienne out on his run bike and get him on his way to pedalling himself around the city. With his sister zooming around him on her own bike, showing off how fast she can go, it seems she helped inspire him to be a bit more brave and really make an effort to get moving on two wheels. The rain may have kept us from a day in the sun, but at least these kids can still enjoy a wet but fun ride!
